Project Overview

Pachamama is a beautifully crafted animated feature film that tells the story of Tepulpaï, a young boy living in a remote village in the Andes Mountains who dreams of becoming a shaman. Set during the time of the Spanish conquest, the film combines adventure, cultural heritage, and environmental themes.

Our studio was involved in the creative production and animation process, working closely with director Juan Antin to bring this vibrant world to life. The project required a delicate balance of honoring indigenous Andean culture while creating an engaging story for audiences of all ages.

Creative Approach

The visual style of Pachamama draws inspiration from pre-Columbian art and the rich cultural heritage of the Andes region. We developed a distinctive aesthetic that combines simplified geometric shapes with vibrant colors and textures, creating a unique visual language that resonates with the film's themes of nature, community, and spirituality.

The animation process involved a blend of traditional techniques and modern technology, allowing us to maintain an artisanal quality while achieving the production values expected of a major animated feature.
